Our history

1889: ONCE UPON A TIME

When Nicola Milano in 1889 started producing vinegar, he had a clear vision of the quality of the product. His son Andrea, who gave the name to the firm, continued his father's work from the enlightenments he received.

Even then, vinegar was the result of the harmonious mixture of raw materials, the devotion of the artisan and the fitting technology.

In the 1990s, the fourth generation, led by Andrea and Francesco, drove the company's growth by acquiring a historic vinegar factory in Modena and launching the Aceto Balsamico di Modena IGP.

Today, with Fabio and Marcello, Acetificio Andrea Milano is one of the industry leaders, with three facilities in Italy and exports to 85 countries. Recently, two production sites were added in Acerra,

strategically located near the port of Naples and major highways.

SUSTAINABILITY AND INNOVATION

Regarding sustainability, the company is committed to reduce the use of plastic. The first sustainability report was released in 2025.

Since 2021, they have started to produce vinegars in R-PET bottles with 50% recycled plastic where PET production takes place directly within the Acerra plant. In this way, Acetificio Andrea Milano has reduced the number of trucks needed to transport the bottles to the company avoiding the production of several tonnes of Co2 and reducing the impact on the environment.
